Gmote for Android: The Ultimate Remote Control for Your Computer

Are you tired of constantly getting up from your couch or bed to change the music or movie on your computer? Do you wish there was an easier way to control your computer from a distance? Look no further than Gmote for Android, the ultimate remote control app that turns your Android device into a powerful tool for controlling your computer.

Gmote is a versatile app that allows you to run movies and music on your computer from anywhere in the room. With its intuitive interface and easy-to-use controls, Gmote makes it simple to navigate through all of your media files without ever having to leave the comfort of your seat.

One of the standout features of Gmote is its support for all standard remote control functions such as play, pause, rewind, volume controls and more. This means that you can easily adjust the volume or skip ahead in a movie without ever having to touch your keyboard or mouse.

In addition to these basic functions, Gmote also includes a built-in file browser that lets you select what media files you want to play. This feature is especially useful if you have multiple folders with different types of media files on your computer. With Gmote's file browser, it's easy to find exactly what you're looking for and start playing it right away.

But Gmote isn't just limited to controlling media files on your computer. It also has support for Linux systems as well as Power Point presentations and launching websites. This makes it an incredibly versatile tool that can be used in many different settings such as business meetings or classroom presentations.

One thing that sets Gmote apart from other remote control apps is its ease-of-use. The app has been designed with simplicity in mind so even users who are not tech-savvy can easily navigate through its features and start using it right away.

Another great feature of Gmote is its ability to connect wirelessly with any Wi-Fi enabled device running Windows or Mac OS X operating systems. This means that once connected, users can access their entire library of media files without ever having to physically connect their Android device directly into their computers.

Overall, if you're looking for an easy-to-use remote control app that allows you complete freedom over how and where you enjoy all types of multimedia content on any Wi-Fi enabled device running Windows or Mac OS X operating systems then look no further than Gmote!

Review

When is your Android phone more than a phone? When you turn it into a combination keyboard and mouse to control your computer. After installing a free Gmote server app for Windows, Mac, or Linux, Gmote creates an ad-hoc Wi-Fi connection with your computer--unfortunately, if you don't use Wi-Fi, you're stuck. The on-screen controls can stream music from your computer, launch movies from afar, navigate the Web, and control a presentation. It's not as powerful or sophisticated as some apps we've seen for iPhone, but it does the trick, and without charging a dime. Unless you opt for the $2.99 donation version. App developers like to eat, too.
