Description
DropToCD (DataCD/DVD) is a very easy-to-use tool for creating a data CD or a DVD based on drag-and-drop technology. Just drag and drop files and folders to a small window and click Burn Disc from the pop-up menu. You can create and burn multisession, bootable discs or ISO images, erase rewritable discs, and view and extract sessions from multisession discs.
Version 3.5 adds Windows Vista support.
Review
A small, inch-long window is all DropToCD (DataCD) needs to burn and erase data CDs or build ISO files. The convenient interface presents all the functions on the right-click context menu. An expandable list shows the files to be burned, along with most of the options from the right-click menu. The program doesn't burn directly from digital files to disc, so you'll need enough open hard-drive space to fit the file size of your intended CD. With a decent Internet connection, you can download, install, and start running the program in minutes, making it a fairly risk-free trial. Seven days is plenty of time to evaluate whether you want to pay $20 for the full version of DropToCD (DataCD/DVD), especially since Windows XP already offers such functionality.
