A nice thing about this app is that it automatically converts video formats not compatible with iOS. We did run into some issues with certain devices, but additional support does seem to be on the way. The only other negative we found is that a watermark will be added if you don't purchase the app.

Pic Share It Lite for Mac opens to a minimalistic but intuitive interface. Even if you have little experience using apps on your Mac, you should have no trouble using this application. To begin the file transfer you need to make sure that both your devices have the app installed and are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Once both devices find each other wirelessly, you can start transferring files. The application quickly detected and synced both our devices used for testing -- an iPhone 5 and a MacBook Air -- and performed each transfer seamlessly. The transfer started as soon as we dragged and dropped a file into the main application window on our Mac, and the progress was displayed on both devices. When we tried testing the app with our iPad 4, however, the application couldn't complete any transfers. While the desktop version of the app instantly recognized our mobile device, the app installed on our iPad couldn't find our Mac on the network. When we tried transferring a file, the app notified us that the iOS device was not supported and may be added in the future.

Pic Share It Lite for Mac makes transferring photos and videos via Wi-Fi between Mac and an iPhone 5 a breeze. However, it doesn't work well on iPad 4. At least not for now.
