Description
This WaveRefFree app calculates wave height and wave angle at limited water depth provided the deep water wave height and incident wave angle are given and the bathymetric contours are generally parallel to shoreline. The calculations are based on Snell's Law and wave energy conservation equations. The intent of this app is to assist coastal and marine engineers in their daily engineering work and to assist perspective coastal engineers in understanding wave refraction and shoaling effects.
