Description
This WaveCalcA app calculates wave properties according to linear wave theory. Based on user-specified wave height, wave period, water depth, and water density, the app calculates wave length, wave speed, group velocity, peak water particle velocities at water surface and at seabed, peak dynamic wave pressure at water surface and at seabed. Users can also use this app to identify broken waves. The intent of this app is to assist coastal and marine engineers in their daily engineering work and to assist perspective coastal engineers in understanding ocean waves. Enjoy!
