Description

BioTray for Mac is an entertainment software that shows your biorhythm with icons on your traybar. Biorhythm refers to the rhythm of life, which is directed by emotional, intellectual, and physical rhythms that begin at our birth. With BioTray, you can easily monitor your biorhythms and understand how they affect your daily life.

How does BioTray work?

Once you install BioTray on your Mac device, you will see four new icons on your traybar: the emotional icon, the intellectual icon, the physical icon, and the intuitive icon. The more an icon is filled up with color, the bigger is your power in that particular domain. You can click on any of these icons to view detailed information about your power in that domain.

Moreover, if you right-click on any of these icons, a menu will appear showing various options such as changing settings or customizing notifications. With this feature-rich software at hand, you can easily track and manage all aspects of your biorhythms.

What are Biorhythms?

According to believers in biorhythms theory (also known as biorythmology), a person's life is affected by rhythmic biological cycles which affect one's ability in various domains such as mental activity (intellectual), physical activity (physical), and emotional activity (emotional). These cycles begin at birth and oscillate in a steady sine wave fashion throughout life; thus by modeling them mathematically using software like BioTray for Mac, a person's level of ability in each of these domains can be predicted from day to day.

Most biorhythm models use three cycles: a 23-day "physical" cycle; a 28-day "emotional" cycle; and a 33-day "intellectual" cycle. Although the 28-day cycle was originally described as a "female" cycle because it has similar length to an average woman's menstrual cycle but it applies equally well for men too. Each of these cycles varies between high and low extremes sinusoidally with days where the cycle crosses zero line described as critical days where there may be greater risk or uncertainty.

In addition to these three popular cycles mentioned above, various other cycles have been proposed based on linear combination of three or longer/shorter rhythms. However, the scientific validity behind this theory remains controversial among researchers.
