Description

Kremlin Encrypt is a secure word processor with encrypted e-mail capabilities. It builds a wall around your data, protecting it from intruders. You can encrypt and decrypt files with RC4 and Blowfish in one click and securely delete files by dragging them to the Kremlin Secure Recycle Bin. The Kremlin Sentry schedules itself to secure your hard disk and memory to wipe all records of your activities.

Review

Editor review

This encryption suite offers both high performance and a user-friendly design. Since you need to configure the app's options before you can use it, be prepared for a rather tedious installation process. Kremlin Encrypt's interface looks austere yet makes encryption a snap. You just select files in Windows Explorer and choose the Encrypt option via a right click, and the program quickly goes about its business. In terms of security, Kremlin Encrypt not only secures your information but also wipes your PC's memory and free disk space so no one can recover the unencrypted files. What's more, the program can automatically encrypt files upon logoff, as well as schedule time-consuming tasks for when you'll be away from the computer. You can delete Web-surfing tracks and send secure e-mails directly from the program. The only complaint we have is that the application can't encrypt documents in a way that the recipient will be able to decrypt them without installing Kremlin Encrypt. If you can live with the 10-day trial limitation, this utility makes a strong fortress for your sensitive data.
