Description
The superhero from SuperSaver and Xmasman strikes again as a flying messenger in a new disguise in this Stupid Cupid screensaver. This time he's Cupid, flying around on your desktop, and covering it with hearts. Options include the ability to set speed, toggle sound, and hide desktop.
Version 1.2 adds the possibility to hide desktop from background.
Review
This silly and free screensaver makes a humorous Valentine's Day pickup. Once you fire this program up, you'll see a rotund cartoonish cupid flying all around your monitor, leaving a trail of hearts in his wake. Stupid Cupid himself isn't all that large, so don't expect highly detailed graphics. The sounds effects (which basically consist of periodic
boings
) get annoying quickly, so we appreciated the ability to turn them off. You'll also find a slider for adjusting cupid's speed and a button for turning off your desktop so the icons are invisible. Clearly this screensaver isn't meant to be used on an everyday basis, but since it is totally free, you might want to have it on hand come next February.
