Description
Trackword is a fun game. How many words of three letters or more can you find by tracking from one square to the next, going up, down, sideways or diagonally in order? You may not go through the same letter square again in any word. No proper nouns or foreign words.
Review
This online word game isn't likely to win any awards, but it's totally free and quite challenging. Trackword is offered as a Microsoft Gadget and doesn't install directly to your computer. Instead, you can add it to your Microsoft Gadget page and access it online. The interface is a somewhat boring gray box divided into nine smaller boxes, each of which contains a letter. The objective of the game: decipher the word that uses all nine letters and locate as many words of three or more letters. The program lets you know how many words it's possible to make and tracks the correct words you enter. The program doesn't have any sound effects, looks somewhat primitive, and doesn't offer any fancy features, but that doesn't really take away from the challenge. Best of all, Trackword doesn't cost a cent, and despite its plain design, we definitely recommend it to all word nerds and word-game addicts.
