Review
This software grants more control over your Windows OS and has a couple of nifty extras. Win Kicks doesn't display a main interface, but it has several menus accessible through the system tray, some of which present small window dialogs. The program begins with a default list of shortcuts to all of its functions and you can edit and add more to launch other tasks. Its built-in alarm feature can sound user-defined WAV or MP3 files and open programs automatically. If you want to give your desktop a facelift, add MP3s and wallpapers that can be set to change randomly or at specified intervals. Win Kicks offers file splitting and restricted access to certain files secured by password-protection, as well as access to your Start menu items, properties windows, and control panel. Although we'd prefer more manageable features in its tracks-cleaning options, Win Kicks erases cookies and online and offline histories. In a nutshell, those wanting to customize their PC a bit more will enjoy this 50-use trial.
