Description
AutoTyping speeds your typing by displaying suggested words and phrases in a pop-up window; you need only input part of the word or phrase. With one click or even a single keystroke, you choose the word or phrase you want and AutoTyping will complete it for you. There's no hard training, and the list of suggested words in the pop-up window protects you from typing mistakes. Version 2 has support more edit box, add enable/disable phrase autocomplete.
Review
This typing-acceleration utility works about as well as advertised, but using it effectively takes practice. AutoTyping doesn't have an interface in the traditional sense of the word. As you type, it pops up a suggestion box with autocomplete options. Right-clicking the system-tray icon lets you change the program's settings, including hot keys. If the suggestion box gets in your way, you can quickly turn it off. You also can disable any or all of AutoTyping's dictionaries. In our tests, the program helped speed our typing considerably, though we couldn't get it to work with Word 97. We also initially found the suggestion box rather intrusive, and it took us a while to get used to it. Nevertheless, if your job involves a lot of typing and your word processor is compatible, AutoTyping may help you work more efficiently.
