Description
This very simple utility that lets you know the paper size, printable area size, and all margins in pixels, millimeters, and inches for any of your printers. Those may be very important parameters if you want to get the most out of your printer, yet no printing software clearly shows them. Version 1.83 has new application icon.
Review
This small utility simply shows the current settings of the printers attached to your computer, but not much more. Free Printer Info's interface, though easy to read, is pretty dull. When you select a printer from the drop-down menu, the program quickly displays the current parameter settings for resolution, paper size, printable area, and margins. Free Printer Info also gives you quick access to your system's printer settings window to make any needed adjustments.
Though it serves well for informational purposes, we would have liked to be able to make resolution or color adjustments. We couldn't even print the screen from the active window on our system. Be that as it may, this freeware does provide the information necessary to adjust your current printers.
