Description
AES (256bit) is a simple, easy to use, lightweight utility that allows you to encrypt text using Advanced Encryption Standard. AES is one of the most secure encryption technologies and has been cleared by the U.S. Government for secret and top-secret data encryption.
Review
Return to the carefree days when encryption tools only took plain text and turned it into a mish-mash of characters. Executable freeware AES (256bit)'s interface is just a two field/two button dialog box. One field is for text to encrypt and the other for the password. The two buttons make it easy to encrypt or decrypt text.
Two fields, two buttons, and no need to read the manual. Paste the text to encrypt, enter a password and immediately see the encrypted text. Decrypting just reverses the easy process.
It's easy to use the program to send quick encrypted messages to friends, and it doesn't them anything to have this freeware application on hand. This is the simplest of tools in terms of features, but that's more than half its beauty. It's small, secure, and effective, and anyone can use it.
