The acquired experience will help you to upgrade your militiamen to be real knights. Besides this you'll meet many exciting and enigmatic riddles on your way. The game stand out with its strategy component (in fact, it's a well-balanced mix of RPG, strategy and adventure) and heavy combat load - big part of playtime is devoted to battling enemies. Editor review

In this colorful Ultima-style role-playing game, you play a knight, a ranger, or an archmage who roams the countryside performing quests, collecting strongholds, and exacting tribute from awed peasants--but don't feel guilty: the forelock-tugging common folk are happy to give you money. Really! Besides, you'll need cash to hire retainers ranging from infantrymen to nuns. The medieval tale, set in Ramen Kingdom, strikes the occasional note of unintentional comedy, such as when a noble lord informs you a quest's outcome is utterly excellent. Though we ran into an apparently impassable obstacle in the training level, we had no trouble diving right into the main campaign. Discord Times' gameplay is straight out of 1993, but it's surprisingly addictive. You won't get too far with the one-and-a-half-hour demo, so don't be surprised if you find yourself shelling out $19.95 for the whole shebang.
