Review
When does a shortcut become a longcut? When programming gets in the way. This program creates macros to help automate repetitive computer tasks, such as filling out Web forms or entering passwords. The problem is, it simply takes too long to program, and MacroMachine offers few ready-made macros--including only a handful that manage files or perform system shutdowns. We were able to create some macros and special features, such as those for controlling playback speeds, scheduling a specific launch time, and assigning a hot-key sequence. Unfortunately, the macros we created simply wouldn't play. If you're feeling clever, MacroMachine will let you create macros by writing script from scratch--but be prepared to sift through the program's tutorial to do so, if you're not already familiar with scripts. Overall, this isn't the most user-friendly of macro programs.
