StartupXPert Professional is a reliable startup manager. The program displays the list of programs that automatically launched at every system start. It allows you to enable, disable or edit such programs. The application displays descriptions for the programs in the list. Sits in system tray and checks the list of the programs for updates. StartupXPert has a convenient, intuitively-clear user interface. Version 2.1 has removed many bugs and added new opportunities.
Review
Though it offers few features unrelated to its main job, this program makes the process of managing start-up items a hassle-free affair. StartupXPert Professional's chart-like interface may make you yawn, but it's pretty straightforward, displaying data such as the program name and registry location.
Though the interface doesn't tell you if certain processes are potentially harmful, it can alert you every time a new app is attempting to install as a start-up item. Therefore, seasoned users might be able to use it to spot malware intrusions. You can disable start-up entires or add new ones via a right click, though the program also offers menu items for doing so.
StartupXPert Professional could certainly benefit from additional features, but as it stands, it still makes a decent addition to machines with a lot of installed software.
