Description
Enter the date and time of an upcoming event, and this program will display a count down timer on your screen. Select the font, size, position, and opacity of the clock. You can also remove the borders and make the entire clock translucent. Version 1.2 has updated software, font features upgraded, and stability increase.
Review
This simple countdown timer performs its job, although it has some odd functionality. After double-clicking the initial window (which we found strange), ClearCode Count Down's basic interface allows you to set the countdown time and date, as well as the occasion.
Immediately after your input, the application displays the time left in days, hours, minutes, and seconds. You can select the display font and size (each size we tried was clear enough to be seen from a distance), change border styles, and set the window's opacity. As the countdown expires to zero, it only displays a short message that reads "Congrats!!!" Unlike other timers, no alarm sounds can be played, multiple alarms can't be set, nor can you customize your message.
While it does its job, those wishing for robust customization options will be disappointed. However, any user seeking a free, basic countdown timer may want to check out this application.
