Review
Free up some memory for a slight performance boost with this simple tool, but some users might experience a system slowdown while the program operates. eConcept Memory Booster's simple interface displays current total and free memory. You choose your level of memory boost from any of the three displayed options.
That's where this program first fails to deliver. The application doesn't tell the user what is behind the three options. Other than choosing to run the memory optimization every 30 seconds, you have little control over the process. Some testers noticed a significant system slowdown during the memory optimization process.
The key is the results, and this program does free up some memory. However, how much memory is dependent on your system setup and software. Our testers had drastically different conclusions based on the system slowdown. Some felt the additional free memory was worth the trouble; others concluded that other memory optimization tools do a much smoother job. This is one tool we think you should try on your system to discover how well it works for you.
