Review
If your kids are constantly fighting turf wars over the PC, consider hiring Times Up as your home police officer. This effective but somewhat complicated program lets parents control how long their children can use the computer. Unfortunately, the interface is fairly complicated, so less computer-savvy adults may need their kids' help to set the program up. In a small concession toward user-friendliness, the latest version includes a wizard for setting up Windows accounts. Once you get situated, you can schedule access to the computer by specifying days of the week and hours of the day. We were a little put off, however, by the lack of parameters for entering dates. Times Up isn't the easiest admin program to use, but if you're willing to put in a little effort it can still bring some order to the nightly struggle over the PC.
