Description
With Switcher you can setup as many configurations as you like. Every configuration can have unique settings for enabling and disabling network cards; automatic or static networksettings for the TCP/IP protocol; the desktop wallpaper; the speakervolume; the default printer; the system files host and lmhost for presetting names; stopping system services you don't need and starting services you do need; running software at startup you would have to run anyway. Version 2.2.0.37 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
Review
This freeware manages multiple laptop configurations, but also works well for some desktops. While Switcher's interface is plain, it is simple to operate. Users merely fill configuration settings in up to six Windows areas to create a profile. Switcher easily handles multiple profiles with distinct settings. You merely double-click a profile to set your PC to a particular configuration.
The application configures speaker volume, wallpapers, network cards and settings, host files, and start-up items. Switcher lacks a help file to help users understand some of the possible configuration settings. This freeware doesn't cover every possible configuration option, but it is a helpful program for any level user switching between minor configuration settings.
