This strangely named program gives you just about everything you need to wipe away the traces of Web surfing and other computer activities. We have no problems with the attractive and straightforward interface, which prominently displays buttons for all operations to the left of the large status window. Asmw Eraser Pro deletes history files, cookies, cached files, and typed URLs from Internet Explorer, Opera, Netscape, and Firefox. The program also erases tracks from a variety of popular applications, such as Adobe Acrobat and Kazaa. Though it doesn't natively support third-party applications, it has a tool for developing your own plug-ins. The addition of a secure file shredder and a scheduling feature are nice touches, and the program can run in stealth mode for increased security. In our tests, Asmw Eraser Pro did its job quickly. You should exercise caution before starting a cleaning session, however, since the process can't be aborted once it has begun. Happily, the program is now completely free, although you do have to fill out a form to obtain a registration code. PC users who want to surf the Web on the sly and don't want to pay for the privilege will surely benefit from this application.
