Description

The Mobilizer browser extension from 3Guppies lets you easily send your pictures, video, audio files, and text from the Web to most cell phones in the US. With the Mobilizer installed, simply right-click on a Web page or media file, tell us what mobile phone number(s) you want to receive the media, and 3Guppies will automatically re-format and deliver the media to those cell phone(s).

You can either select 'Mobilize This!' to send the particular media file you are pointing to, or select 'Mobilize All' to choose from all the media files on the page. In cases where the media is embedded (such as flash) and you cant right-click, hover over it and a Mobilizer link will appear above the media. 3Guppies Mobilizer browser extension, and conversion and delivery service, works with just about any wireless carrier in the U.S. and are free. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.

Editor review

This program to send Web images to a phone is a mess from start to finish, from the poorly designed user interface to its inability to send a single image to our test phones.

Mobilizer is accessed with a right-click. You have two options: Mobilize This and Mobilize All. You're immediately taken to what we assume is the publisher's Web site, but it looks as if it's still under construction and there's no rhyme or reason to its setup. There are no graphics, only links and boxes for entering numbers, and a jumble of overlapping text. We tried sending single and multiple images, but Mobilizer consistently failed to send any images to our test phones. We were then asked to enter our phone carrier, and phone make and model, which was far more information than we wanted to give over.

You can try Mobilizer to see if you get better results, but this freeware program doesn't get our recommendation.
