Review
This application greatly improves start-up program management compared with the default Windows tool. Startup Master's easily resized and logically designed interface needs little explanation. The Help file gives novice users all the information they need to edit start-up items and should cover any questions that might come up.
Startup Master opens with a simple spreadsheet containing application name, command data, and Registry section for all start-up items. Sorting columns takes just a click. Manipulating items is quickly accomplished with an extensive context menu. Right click and choose to run, edit, delete, or check the properties of any file. You also can open a program's folder or Registry section as easily. It's very easy to set Windows to ignore selected Registry sections at start-up.
You can export and import startup lists, and set the application to warn when changes are made to a list. Novice users will like Startup Master's simplicity while advanced users will like the program's flexibility and power.
