This very simple application handles its main job without incident, but its miserly trial restriction makes it difficult for us to enthusiastically endorse it. Similar to many of its competitors, the application can transform files among WMA, WAV, OGG, and MP3 codecs. No matter which format you choose, you'll be able to set the audio quality, and if you opt for OGG or MP3, you can encode files in the space-concious VBR mode. It's nice that the utility normalizes files, but it can't rip CDs, burn discs, or even play tracks. We wouldn't have a problem with the program's limited scope under normal circumstances, but since the demo will only let you convert or normalize a measly 10 tracks, most folks won't be able to put it to much use without plunking down cash. Since there are many free audio converters around that are just as easy to use, we'd suspect the majority of people will want to put this one further down on their list.
