Review

Editor review

Digital photographers on a budget will welcome this compact, low-priced photo editor. Click'n View for Win has a handsome, though rather disorganized, brushed-metal interface and tools for cropping and rotating images, converting them to other formats, and adjusting color and brightness.

It also lets you apply a few filters, design photo collages and basic slide shows, make animated GIFs, and export slide shows as AVIs. You can import images from your hard drive, digital camera, or scanner. The program executable doesn't require installation, so you can put it on a keychain drive for maximum portability. In an unusual twist on the demo period, after 15 days the trial version of Click'n View for Win will only allow you to open 13 color images each time you start the program (though you can restart any number of times).

Still, those are more generous terms than previous versions of the program have offered, and all in all, Click'n View for Win should suit beginning to midlevel photographers who don't need a professional-grade editing suite.
