Review
If you can't get yourself organized with PIMOne, consider counseling. This well-designed information manager packs an outstanding array of tools into an exceptionally good-looking package. The attractive, notebook-style interface uses tabs down the right side to provide quick and easy access to the main modules: planner, task list, contact book, memo pad, and holiday list. There's even a password vault for storing and filling out Web logins--an unusual and welcome feature. The program can automatically shut down the computer, send e-mail, and do other simple operations on schedule. If that weren't enough, a nifty sidebar offers a clock and a calendar, a sticky-notes function, and an e-mail checker for POP accounts. All the essential PIM functions are in effect, including recurring events, customizable reminders, and a flexible task display. Voice memos would be a nice extra, and integration among modules could be better. For example, your contacts' birthdays don't appear in the planner. Overall, though, PIMOne is a superb organizer and an excellent value.
