Foreclosure Finder is a basic program that allows users to access listings of properties that have been foreclosed upon. Although the program doesn't do anything that users couldn't do on their own, the fact that the program compiles links to various listings in one place is handy.

The program's interface is basic, consisting mostly of a series of gray buttons. Click on the Bank Owned Homes button and the program displays buttons for 34 major lenders. Clicking on each button takes users to that lender's online listing of homes for sale. The program works similarly for government-owned properties, with listings of 12 different government agencies (HUD, VA, etc.) that own properties. The program also contains links to realtor.com and zillow.com, as well as a ZIP code search from realtor.com. It's nice that the program compiles links to all of these property listings, but the drawback, of course, is that the Web addresses for these listings can change. The link to the Bank of America listings is already out of date. There is no apparent way for the program to check for updates, nor is there a Help file or any options. We also would have appreciated it if the program had used our default browser, Firefox, instead of opening each new window in Internet Explorer. Overall, the program isn't bad, and it may save time for users who want to search listings from multiple lenders and agencies. But it does have a few drawbacks that users should be aware of.

Foreclosure Finder is free. It comes as a ZIP file and is accessible after extraction with no need to install. We recommend this program to all users.
