Review
This screensaver turns your monitor into an impressive pyrotechnic display that hearkens to real life. The launch, explosion, and decay of the fireworks are quite realistic, as are the sound effects. Like any good fireworks show, MBSS Fireworks has plenty of color. Customization options are divided into sections for Hue Cones and Hue Dynamics. The specific settings of each panel are very technical, letting you tweak parameters such as hue brightness bias, vertical gravity, and atmospheric damping. Those without a lot of mathematical knowledge will probably just want to fool around until they find something the like, though the default settings make for an entertaining spectacle in their own right. MBSS Fireworks displays a small nag screen, but it's not obtrusive enough to ruin the fun. Although this application will be most suitable around Independence Day, folks who are really fascinated with pyrotechnics will enjoy it year round.
