Google Chrome (Web browser) has just hit the world. Google Chrome backup is a small tool to backup and restore Google Chrome profile. The profile holds personal data like history, bookmarks. Everything is done with one click. Version 1.8.0.141 is a bug-fixing release.
Review
Although there's not much to back up right now, it's good to see this tool for Google Chrome that will surely become more important as the program gains extensions and other complexities. Currently, the app can create and restore multiple profiles, although it wasn't able to bring back browsing histories during our tests.
The interface is pleasantly reminiscent of Google Chrome itself, with a clean layout and a plethora of options hidden behind slick drop-down menus. We were not impressed that the EXE comes in a ZIP, which added an unnecessary step to the installation. That's a minor quibble, though, and the program performed as promised.
