Test My Hardware - This free software is a simple system information and diagnostics utility that provides detailed information about all your hardware component, such as your CPU, memory, operating system, and power source. Its simple interface provides an organized overview of all the available information.

This simplistic tool offers information about your hardware and system components, but precious little is of real value. Test My Hardware has a simple, functional interface--tabbed for categories (System, Component, About, Exit) with a vertical row of buttons, one for each hardware and system component (Mainboard, CPU, BIOS, and so forth). In our tests, the utility displayed details about each item, such as manufacturer, model number, and capacities, but it performed slowly. Test My Hardware executed no real diagnostic tests that revealed anything about performance issues. This utility is simple to use and may be best-suited for novices; experienced users will want a more robust tool that offers real diagnostics.
