Review
This small freebie delivers nuggets of wisdom to your desktop, but it won't wow you with its design. PopUp Wisdom's Preferences interface looks good, but the same can't be said of the window showing the quote of the moment. You'll find only limited options for changing the font of the quote or showing the time and date, and these few tweaks aren't enough to spice up the drab window. You can hear a sound when quotes are shown, create a quote schedule in minute intervals, or pull up a random quote using Alt W. The window can be positioned anywhere on the desktop. You'll find four quote collections taken from the Web, though you can create your own in a text file and save it to the program's Books folder. Anyone can use this simple application, and you may find the quotes inspirational even if PopUp Wisdom's design isn't.
