Description
Ball Attack is an Arkanoid/Breakout-style game. Original solutions give a new twist to the classic ball-and-bricks concept. A number of unique elements that have never before appeared in such games give Ball Attack an absolutely fresh look and feel. The Ball Attack concept can be described as follows make your way through the bricks and have fun. The levels can transform and even rotate, adding new challenges for the player. The game features a wide variety of power-ups, including some unique ones. The player must avoid penalty items, and mighty power-ups help him or her destroy large clusters of bricks. Bonus weapons can turn the whole mass of bricks to dust in a few seconds.
Review
Ball Attack is another take on Breakout with some new twists. In terms of gameplay, it's in familiar territory: maneuver balls with your paddle to destroy bricks overhead. Modern features are here, too, such as the ability to turn the ball into a fireball, split it in two, and resize your paddle. Ball Attack offers some extra help following the ball's trajectory and lets you add blasting power to the ball. Graphically the game is nothing special, except perhaps for the explosive effects of the fireball, which may even prove distracting enough to prevent you from catching it. Fans of Breakout will have fun so long as they aren't expecting anything particularly innovative.
