This browser caters to mobile users who want fast access to their Internet favorites, RSS feeds, files, and folders from one interface. Though the interface is a bit cluttered, it gets the job done, and it includes a number of useful preset "favorite" tabs (creating custom tabs is a snap). Optimal Desktop also includes a Layout States menu that gives you numerous options for viewing your files; for example, you can browse your hard drive and the Web side by side, or change the size and location of the tabs and windows. The browser, based on Internet Explorer, blocks annoying pop-up windows, stores passwords for folders and files, and can be launched from removable drives.
