Description
IPsO is an IP bandwidth monitoring tool. For both upload and download streams, it gives you instant transfer rates, average rates, maximum rates and transferred data volumes. Instant rates are shown textually and graphically. Graphs show transfer rates for the last minute, hour, 10 minutes, or 10 hours. Statistics are produced and can be analyzed per day or per month. IPsO monitors ADSL lines, cable access, Ethernet, WiFi, or whatever kind of IP interface you have. IPsO lets you choose the network interface to be monitored. IPsO is completely skinable and its degree of transparency can be adjusted. Various skins are included in the package.
Review
IPsO efficiently handles its only task of monitoring the transfer rates of online data along your network connection. Its small, skinnable interface displays real-time upload and download rates. A simple double-click instantly opens a detailed graph to view the transfer rates from the last 10 minutes or the last 10 hours. Using its system tray icon, you can quickly modify the X/Y axis scale, transparency levels, and whether download and upload rates should be displayed in KBs or MBs. The program keeps a log of rates in IPsO's program file folder. Although the option to change the file location is shown, it wasn't operable in tests. With a minimal 10-day test time, IPsO works well and doesn't interfere with surf activity. This application provides system admins with a fast, simple means of monitoring online data streams.
