Review
As its name suggests, this program reminds PC users to rest their eyes during extensive computer sessions, but stability issues will leave you restless. Eye Rest Reminder has a basic, easy-to-use interface that lets you customize options for breaks. Breaks can be scheduled at specific intervals, and you can skip or delay them for a few minutes.
During breaks, the program displays a message reminder and countdown timer on a black backdrop. As the timer expires, the screen slowly illuminates until your desktop reappears. Eye Rest Reminder doesn't lock your keyboard or mouse, so it's up to you to take advantage of the breaks.
During tests, we were able to terminate the program using Task Manager, but it caused our system to become unstable and made the taskbar disappear. Unlike similar applications, you won't be treated to a display of exercises during breaks and the program requires a system reboot whenever you change reminder settings. Despite some misses, Eye Rest Reminder is still a useful tool for computer users in need of a break during frequent computer sessions.
