QuickLock allows users to quickly lock his or her system. QuickLock lives in the menu bar and is represented with a simple padlock icon. Clicking on its icon in the menu bar will reveal a drop-down menu consisting of the following choices: QuickLock, Screen Saver, Sleep, Restart and Shut Down. Although some of these options are available from other menus or key combinations, the QuickLock selections do not require confirmation and consolidate the options into a single list.

Sometimes what makes an app great is simply that it takes features that already exist and puts them all in one handy spot. Such is the case with QuickLock for Mac. This basic utility makes it easy to lock, restart, or shut down your Mac. It's nothing earth shattering, but we like that it makes useful features more accessible.
QuickLock for Mac appears as a small lock icon in the menu bar. Clicking it reveals a drop-down menu with options to start your screensaver, put your computer to sleep, shut your computer down, or restart it. There's also a QuickLock option, which just logs you out and takes you to the Mac log-in screen. As we said, QuickLock for Mac doesn't do anything that your Mac can't already do on its own, but it does make these useful functions a lot easier to get to. The app doesn't come with any documentation, but that's okay; there's not much about it that needs explanation. Overall, we think QuickLock for Mac is a great idea for users who frequently need to step away from their computers and want to maintain their privacy.
QuickLock for Mac installs and uninstalls without issues. It's recommended for any level Mac user.
