CompuApps DriveEraser permanently erases data from hard disks, removable media, partitions, files and folders. It is specifically designed to eliminate data that is no longer needed and should not be recovered by anyone else. Major functions: secure erase hard or removable disk drives, secure erase any selected partition, secure erase for unused free space in selected partition, secure erase files or folders, create virtually any custom secure erase rules.

Click a drive, and its the Windows Explorer-like interface displays the relevant files and folders. DriveEraser permanently deletes cookies, your Favorites list, and Internet temporary files. You can also do away with tracks left in your temporary files, search history, and Recent Files list. DriveEraser uses several U.S. Department of Defense-approved methods to wipe out the contents of selected folders and the Recycle Bin. It gives three warnings before it starts erasing, thereby diminishing the chances of an accidental deletion. Although fine for home use, this powerful utility is best suited to businesses needing to obliterate large amounts of confidential information.
