Convert PDF files to RTF, HTML, and Text format with less conversion loss. Images and tables in PDF files will be extracted and saved. The conversion is very fast, usually in a split second. Batch conversion is available. Options such as to adjust zoom ratio, merge paragraphs, set password for encrypted PDF files, optimize images and output file size, PDF document information are available. PDF2Any is standalone, and it does not require Adobe.
Review
PDF documents are easy to view and distribute, but when it comes to editing, other formats can be far simpler to work with. This download offers one way to turn PDF files into HTML, RTF, or TXT files, but unfortunately lacks the power to be a truly useful solution. In our tests, the software did extract text into the new formats, but retained only the most basic formatting and links when we selected those options. Only a small portion of original fonts were preserved, and tables and text boxes were often distorted. Only a few images were extracted and embedded back into documents. The software cannot generate navigation menus for Web documents, and creates simply a long, continuous HTML file instead of breaking up documents into separate pages. All things considered, we would advise computer users with the need to transform PDF documents to find a more powerful tool than this one.
