Description
Avalokitam is a Tamil Prosody Analyzer. It is christened upon Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, whom the Tamil Mahayana Buddhists of the yore considered as the progenitor of the Tamil Language.
Given a Tamil Prosody Text, it analyzes all the Metrical information (yaappu) such as asai, seer, vaaypaatu, talai, todai etc and displays them. It also attempts to find the metre of the Text. It can recognize all the 4 major types of Tamil metre namely, venpaa, aasiriyappaa, vanjipaa, kalippaa & the corresponding paavinam-s.
