Product Overview
StartOpenSSH allows you to simply point and click to manage and setup tunnels via the command line ssh app. Once you setup a service it will be there until you remove it and you can start and stop the tunnel with ease. Wether you want to access your network at work while away from the office, need to come up with a quick SOCKS proxy to bypass network internet filters, or need to add a server located somewhere else to your work network, StartOpenSSH is the solution for you.
Customization
By default StartOpenSSH relies on you supplying key files to connect to SSH servers, but that stubborn network admin refuses to allow users to use key files, well StartOpenSSH is designed for this in mind as well and allows you to use a custom SSH password manager. It has been tested with sshpass, but if there is another password manager you want to use no problem. Simply setting the preferences for StartOpenSSH and you can be using that utility. Now you can use that utility to enter passwords where needed or you can use your specified key files, either way you can connect to your SSH server and setup a tunnel.
Security
StartOpenSSH allows you to have peace of mind as your data is safely stored in an encrypted format, which is unique to each user account. The application will also lock allowing you to walk away from you computer and keeping your connection and key file information away from prying eyes. Do you have a key file that you have password protected? No problem because StartOpenSSH can authenticate the key file on the fly.
