PaintDS is a full-featured bitmap/image editor for the Mac that iss easy to use, but sufficiently powerful to handle most of your basic graphics needs. PaintDS is the perfect tool for creating simple images, cropping photographs, and other tasks similar to MSPaint for Microsoft Windows, or the now missing Apple MacPaint program.
PaintDS can handle graphics in PNG, JPG or BMP formats.
The current version of PaintDS is for Intel-based Macs only.

Review
The MS Paint app, available within the Windows operating system, is one of the simplest and most-used apps for editing and creating pictures. Unfortunately, Microsoft never developed a version for Mac computers. PaintDS for Mac is a notable alternative for this problem.
Available as free to try without a pass code, you can use all the features of the application but only with .bmp files and in 30-minute sessions. The installing process of PaintDS for Mac is as simple as actually using the app. After downloading the .dmg file, open it and drag and drop the app into your applications folder. The images you want to edit can be opened by dragging them into the work area. With the help of the zoom function you can change the image size in order to edit everything you need. If you want to add captions or any kind of text, like a watermark for instance, the photos must be scaled to 100 percent. Even the photos with high resolution are handled very smoothly, and with the zoom function you can edit all the details you need, red-eye removal included. The toolbar is displayed on the left side, just like in MS Paint, and includes the same tools such as an eraser, color matcher, paintbrush, and spraycan.
For those users newly switching from MS Windows who look for apps similar to what they were using in their previous operating system, PaintDS for Mac makes the transition to the Mac OS X platform very easy. Also, its simplicity makes the app advisable to everyone who wants to modify a picture but does not possess advanced photo-editing skills.
