Description

Caesium allows you to save a lot of space and quickly upload your pictures on the web (on sites like Facebook, MySpace etc) saving a lot of time. Also Webmasters for instance need to make sure the images they post on their websites are optimized, to avoid prolonged loading times for their visitors. The software allows you to view instantly the compression results, helping you to decide how much optimization you need. Caesium can set different compression levels to each image, saving a lot of time, ensuring great results.

Caesium Portable lets you take Caesium Image Compressor's fast and powerful image compression capabilities with you. Like the installed version, Caesium Portable is freeware that quickly resizes and compresses images with minimal quality loss and also helps you post them online. It's a great choice for Web admins, bloggers, and photographers, but anyone who needs to take their megapixel snapshots and reduce them to a manageable size can benefit from Caesium Portable. It handles different compression levels for multiple images, and its preview feature make it easy to achieve the best balance between image quality and file size. Caesium Portable works in Windows XP to 8.

Like its installed counterpart, Caesium Portable's clean, attractive interface features a file window, before-and-after preview panes, and a console for setting compression levels. Operations couldn't be easier: Select an image, set the compression level and other options, and press "Preview" (or select "Auto-Preview"). When everything's right, press "Compress." Caesium Portable processed and saved our compressed test image to the same folder (our choice; you can select any folder). Finished images not only looked good but, perhaps more importantly, were very close to the previews. Next we tried batches; Caesium's specialty. The portable version proved just as capable. We could create and save Lists that simplified processing existing and future batches, too. Instructions, release notes, and much more can be found at the Caesium Wiki.

Caesium Portable offers Caesium's features and performance in a portable package you can run on any compatible PC without having to install it and without leaving any traces when you remove it. Though hardly lightweight at almost 22MB, it's still small enough to run from any USB drive out there.
