Optimize your tablature, transcribe pieces written for other instruments, convert your MIDI catalog to high-quality tablature. MIDIToTab is the result of many years of research in tablature optimization - it uses the latest artificial intelligence techniques to find the best fretting positions on a stringed instrument such as a guitar, or a lute. Using its powerful Deep Search feature, MIDIToTab performs an in-depth analysis of the piece and finds optimal ways to play it. MIDIToTab can also transcribe pieces written which were not originally written for a stringed instrument - such as a Mozart piano sonata - which contain notes too high or too low to be played on the instrument. MIDIToTab performs an in-depth contextual analysis of the piece and converts these notes so that they can be played on the chosen instrument. MIDIToTab features over 20 different instruments, including the guitar (6 to 10 strings), the lute (6 to 10 courses), the bass (4 to 6 strings), the mandolin, the bouzouki, the mandocello. Each of these instruments has a wide range of unique tunings to choose from. MIDIToTab is fully customizable - it allows you to adjust the search parameters to your personal needs, including the search complexity, the preferred initial position on the instrument, transposing the piece, isolating a part of the piece or splitting it into equal parts. MIDIToTab can export to a wide variety of file formats, including: Power Tab (.ptb), Adobe (.pdf), .png, .jpeg, .bmp, .xpm, .pcx, .pnm.
