Caches speed up your apps. However, some apps don't delete their caches, leading to many unused files building up on your disk.

- Language Packs:
Some applications come with resources for other languages (eg. Spanish, French, German). These resources take up space on your disk. Choose what languages you want to remove.
- Mail Downloads Folder:
Mail attachments get saved to your hard drive when they are opened. Please take a look in this folder before deciding whether you want to empty it.
- Downloads Folder:

Pros
Clear interface: Disk Doctor's intuitive interface clearly shows all available options. Once you've run a scan, you'll see the results sorted into categories that you can select or deselect as you advance to the cleaning stage.
Full preview: Some categories you may be comfortable deleting sight unseen, but others you may want to peek at first. This app lets you preview a list of all items in each category before you decide whether or not to include that category in the cleaning process.
Cons
No individual selection: While it is nice to be able to view the contents of categories, it would be nicer if you could deselect individual items within these categories. Unfortunately, that option is not offered in the current version of Disk Doctor. The only thing you can do is manually move an item to another file or folder and then run the program again, which is a significant number of extra steps.
Bottom Line
Disk Doctor is a convenient tool to have on hand when you need to increase the amount of free space on your hard drive. It presents your options clearly, making it useful for users of all experience levels, and it's only $2.99 in the App Store.
