This ultrabasic program takes care of its main job, but does nothing else. Simply put, AbAlarm reminds you of any important meetings or appointments you might have. The interface won't turn many heads with its design, but is nevertheless easy to understand and use. You set the time for your alarm, choose from one of three sounds, and write a custom reminder message. When the designated hour rolls around, the application will pop out of your system tray and alert you with a message and alarm. Though AbAlarm won't impress you with its power or extensive features, it is free, which might increase its appeal to cash-strapped users seeking a simple reminder utility.
