Description

Shot detection application for ISSF events like Rapid Fire, Center Fire, Sport Pistol and Standard Pistol. In order to excel in these sport events it's important to have a steady shot rhythm, so that the process is not held up or disturbed.By being able to see the precise shot times will help the shooter and trainer to correct errors and optimise the performance. The application will detect and display shots by "Shot Time" (5 shots), "Delta Time" (time compared to the previous shot) and visually in a graph (unlimited peaks). The detection will continue slightly after the event time is completed, in order to catch late shots. Inspired by the electronic audio peak detection timer, Skanaker Training System, by the great Olympian Champion Ragnar Skanker. This unit was available in the 1980s, about 20 made and sold for USD2000. Just a few of these were sold, but those who used this training device made great progress as they could follow their shot process within a tenth of a second. After discussing with Ragnar Skanker, we decided not to add guides to any "optimal" shot rhythm. You as a shooter needs to find your rhythm that you are comfortable with. Looking at finalists in Sport Pistol we can see that some have a fast lift to then use a second for aiming, while others have a slow lift but fires immediately as the pistol enters the shot zone.UsagePress the READY button.ATTENTION turns red for 7 seconds.START turns green for the appropriate event time (3, 4, 6, 8 or10 seconds).STOP turns red for one second before the results are displayed.Adjust the detection sensitivity slider according to your environment.0,4 seems to be a good start value for .22, and a little higher for .38Optimised for iPhone5 and above.
