Description

Sizerox is the simple way to resize, rename, crop, rotate and watermark hundreds or thousands of images with a single Drag-and-Drop using presets. Mostly when you want to email your friends pictures, post images on your website, or upload them to your iPod, iPad or iPhone, you recognize that the images are too big. You need to reduce them, but resizing and renaming images takes too long. Why spend valuable time altering each image by hand? Use Sizerox to resize, rename, crop, rotate and watermark hundreds or thousands of images with a single Drag-and-Drop using presets.

Resizes your JPEG, TIFF, PNG or PSD images and saves them as JPEG. You can easily resize, rename, crop, rotate and watermark your images from your digital camera or scanner to send them with e-mails, to use them on the web or to upload them to your iPod, iPad or to your iPhone. Supports Drag-and-Drop. Drop as many image files as you want or a folder that contains hundreds or thousands of images to the main window as well as to the application icon to resize the images.

Review

Editor review

Sizerox for Mac is a lightweight utility that you can use to resize your digital images to save space and make uploading easier. It offers just the right combination of customization and export options to make it a valuable and accessible program for users of all experience levels.

Pros

Personalized watermarks: This program lets you put your own personal stamp on images by creating watermarks either out of images or text. You can choose the size, placement, and content of the watermark, and it will be inserted into all of the images you select.

Output control: There are also quite a few options for specifying the details of the resized image included in this app. These include the quality of the image, the Ratio, and the Size. You can also tell the app where to save the new image and whether to use the original date or the modified date in the file information.

Cons

Only JPEG: This program only allows you to save your images in JPEG format. If you need them in another format for your intended use, you'll have to find another program to convert them first.

Only drag and drop: The only way to add files or folders to this app is through drag-and-drop. While this isn't a huge limitation, it might not be the most convenient method in certain situations.

Bottom Line

Sizerox for Mac is a great option for making resizing photos accessible for users of all experience levels. It's free to try with the limitation that it places multiple watermarks on each resized image. If you want to purchase an unrestricted version, it costs $14.95.

Editors' note: This is a review of the trial version of Sizerox for Mac 1.4.4.
