Just watch the display for awhile and you'll see the similarity to a sweep hand movement.AM/PM is indicated by the color of the large hour blocks. White = AM, Blue = PM.(AM is depicted in Light Blue in newest version)Examples depict 6:10 pm and 36 seconds (Blue), and 8:17 am and 43 seconds (white).
