Description

PositionalT is a fully validated Geometric Dimension and Tolerance calculator used to calculate the available Positional Tolerance between mating Holes and Pins or Fasteners, the default setting will divide the available tolerance between the Holes and Fasteners, leaving .001" clearance as the default distribution; the user can override this distribution to meet specific design needs. The application calculates the diameters and tolerances available at MMC, LMC and Nominal. One of the key features of PositionalT is the calculated Virtual Conditions, a RED color indicates a potential interference fit at the tolerance extreme condition. (Total Tolerance and/or Virtual Condition will turn RED if interference is calculated. When you are deep into a mating fit study and need to know standard drill sizes, select the Drill Index menu to browse the full spectrum of drill sizes from 1/64 up to 1 inch. Plastics can be pushed to a line to line fit, but metal parts may not assemble as easy in this condition. Additionally, components that are assembled using automated methods may not assemble with a line to line fit.
