Description

HumidCalc for iPhone is a powerful home software that allows you to easily obtain temperature-humidity index (discomfort index), WBGT (heat stroke index), dew point temperature, and more from weather information. With this app, you can calculate 11 items and 13 indicators, including humidity ratio (absolute humidity), weight absolute humidity, volume absolute humidity, equilibrium vapor pressure, partial pressure, boiling point of water, and more.

One of the key features of HumidCalc is its ability to calculate air condition from dry-bulb temperature (Td) and wet-bulb temperature (Tw) obtained by Assmann-Psychrometer. The app can also input atmospheric pressure for even more accurate calculations. You can convert the results to Celsius or Fahrenheit temperatures and SI units or Imperial/US customary measurement systems with just a simple switch.

The items and indicators that this app can calculate are incredibly useful for anyone who needs to monitor indoor or outdoor conditions related to humidity levels. For example:

- Dew Point Temperature: This is the temperature at which water vapor in the air begins to condense into liquid form.

- Relative Humidity: This measures how much moisture is in the air compared to how much it could hold at a given temperature.

- Humidity Ratio (Absolute Humidity): This measures the mass of water vapor per unit mass of dry air.

- Weight Absolute Humidity: This measures the weight of water vapor per unit volume of moist air.

- Volume Absolute Humidity: This measures the volume occupied by water vapor per unit volume of moist air.

- Humidity Deficit: This calculates how much moisture needs to be added to reach saturation at a given temperature.

- Enthalpy: This measures total heat content in moist air per unit mass.

- Specific Volume: This calculates how much space one kilogram of moist air occupies at a given condition.

- Equilibrium Vapor Pressure: This calculates how much pressure is exerted by water vapor in the air when it's in equilibrium with a surface of pure water.

- Partial Pressure: This calculates how much pressure is exerted by a specific gas in a mixture of gases.

- Boiling Point of Water: This calculates the temperature at which water boils at a given atmospheric pressure.

- WBGT (Estimated Value): This measures heat stress on the human body based on temperature, humidity, and radiation levels. The app estimates this value using Dry-bulb temperature(Td) and Globe thermometer temperature(Tg).

- Discomfort Index [Temperature-humidity index]: This measures how comfortable or uncomfortable it feels outside based on temperature and humidity levels.

The app also includes statistical information about the correlation between Globe thermometer temperature(Tg) and Dry-bulb temperature(Td), as well as an algorithm for converting Wet-bulb temperature(Tw) obtained by measurement by the Assmann Psychrometer to the Wet-bulb temperature measured in natural state.

If you want to get current atmospheric pressure, dry-bulb temperature (Td), and wet-bulb temperature (Tw), simply tap the "Weather" information button. You can choose conditions for wet bulb from "Normal" or "Froze" settings. Even if you enter measurement values from non-draft type psychrometers like Augusto Psychrometer, etc., just tap a button to display corresponding values.

HumidCalc can receive calculated values of dry bulb (Td) and wet bulb (Tw) temperatures from its sister app Calculator of Air. With this function, you can input dew point temperatures, relative humidity levels, etc., but you need to start up Calculator of Air first.

The input range for HumidCalc is -30°C to 50°C (-22°F to 122°F) for temperatures and 600 hPa to 2475 hPa(17.72 inHg to 73.09 inHg) for atmospheric pressure. The app uses OpenWeatherMap (CC BY-SA4.0) to provide weather information.

Please note that while HumidCalc is a powerful tool, it's important to use common sense when inputting extreme values as they may not produce accurate results. Additionally, the app's creators are not liable for any damage caused by its use and do not bear all responsibility.

Overall, HumidCalc is an incredibly useful home software that can help you monitor and calculate humidity levels with ease and accuracy. Whether you're a homeowner or professional in need of precise measurements, this app is sure to be a valuable addition to your toolkit.
